July 2013 – Mother Nurture

I am currently working on a new body of work exploring the theme

“Mother Nurture”

After Visiting the Vrolik Museum in Amsterdam I was inspired by Natures ability to create the most beautiful human beings and yet the darker side of nature’s ability to go terribly wrong. I wanted to recreate what I saw and am in the process of creating body parts out of silicone, the idea of discarding unwanted defects and body parts.
